CHRISTMAS SERVICES
Christmas Eve – 11 am, 5 pm & 7 pm
Christmas Day – 11 am
First Miami Presbyterian Church extends a warm invitation for you to join us for Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The Christmas Eve services are on Sunday, Dec. 24th 11 am, 5 pm & 7 pm. The Christmas Day service is on Monday, Dec. 25 at 11 am. All are welcome!
Liturgist: With the whole church, let us confess our faith. Do you believe in God the Father?
People: We believe in God the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
Leader: Do you believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God?
People: We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into Heaven; He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
Leader: Do you believe in God the Holy Spirit?
People: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.
Liturgist: Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. To this peace we were called as members of a single body. The peace of Christ be with you.
People: And also with you.
“But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in clouds’ with great power and glory. Then he will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. “But about that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Beware, keep alert; for you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his slaves in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch. Therefore, keep awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or at dawn, or else he may find you asleep when he comes suddenly. And what I say to you I say to all: Keep awake.”

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Hosanna (Praise is Rising)
Praise is rising, eyes are turning to You
We turn to You
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for You
We long for You
Cause when we see You we find strength
To face the day
In Your presence all our fears are washed away
Washed away
Hosanna Hosanna
You are the God who saves us
Worthy of all our praises
Hear the sound of hearts returning to You
We turn to You
In Your kingdom broken lives are made new
You make us new
Cause when we see You, we find strength
To face the day
In Your presence all our fears are washed away Washed away
Hosanna Hosanna
You are the God who saves us
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna
Hosanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus

To face the day
And in Your presence all our fears are washed away

Lord, come have Your way among us
We welcome You here, Lord Jesus
You’re Beautiful
I see your face in every sunrise
The colors of the morning are inside your eyes
The world awakens in the light of the day
I look up to the sky and say, You’re Beautiful
I see your power in the moonlit night
Where planets are in motion & galaxies are bright
We are amazed in the light of the stars
It’s all proclaiming who you are, You’re beautiful
I see you there hanging on a tree
You bled & then you died & then you rose again
for me
Now you are sitting on your heavenly throne
Soon we will be coming home, You’re beautiful
When we arrive at eternity’s shore
Where death is just a memory & tears are no more
We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring
Your bride will come together and we’ll sing…
You’re Beautiful
Unashamed Love
Your calling me to lay aside the worries of my day
To quiet down my busy mind and find a hiding place
Worthy, You are worthy
I open up my heart and let my spirit worship Yours
I open up my mouth and let a song of praise come forth
Worthy You are Worthy
Of a childlike faith and of my honest praise
And of my unashamed love
Of a holy life and of my sacrifice
And of my unashamed love
Your calling me to lay aside the worries of my day
To quiet down my busy mind and find a hiding place
Worthy, You are worthy
I open up my heart and let my spirit worship Yours
I open up my mouth and let a song of praise come forth
Worthy You are Worthy
Of a childlike faith and of my honest praise
And of my unashamed love
Of a holy life and of my sacrifice
And of my unashamed love
Of a childlike faith and of my honest praise
And of my unashamed love
Of a holy life and of my sacrifice
And of my unashamed love
Worthy, You are worthy

River (Song)
Been traveling these wide roads for so long
My heart’s been far from you
Ten-thousand miles gone
Oh, I wanna come near and give ya
Every part of me
But there is blood on my hands
And my lips aren’t clean
In my darkness I remember
Momma’s words reoccur to me
“Surrender to the good Lord
And he’ll wipe your slate clean”
Take me to your river
I wanna go
Oh, go on
Take me to your river
I wanna know
Tip me in your smooth waters
I go in
As a man with many crimes
Come up for air
As my sins flow down the Jordan
Oh, I wanna come near and give ya
Every part of me
But there is blood on my hands
And my lips aren’t clean
Take me to your river
I wanna go
Go on
Take me to your river
I wanna know
I wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
I wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
Wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
Wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
Wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
Wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
Take me to your river
I wanna go
Lord, please let me know
Take me to your river
I wanna know
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
